It would be nice if you can unlock or have the option to play the original space invaders with the graphics they have in this game.I enjoy this game. I have not tried using my arcade fight stick with it to get a real arcade feel to this game but I would recomend it for a time killer.I would give this game a 7/10 because of lack of volume adjustments and graphic adjustments.. The gameplay is fine but $20 for a remastered game with less features than previous iterations (no online multiplayer, no key rebinding, no V-Sync, no multiple resolution) is not something I've recommend.Lack of playerbase is not a good incentive to compete in leaderboards, this game was somehow unnoticed by big STG communities...Also I'm having some weird FPS drop problem (GTX 1070) wich is very annoying. Posted this issue on Steam forums and got my post moved away for it to be unnoticed. Not that I care much about mods, but it felt very rude.I will ask for a refund and might rebuy later at better price.. I loved the original Space Invaders Extreme when it released on the DS. This version does improve the sound and graphics but they changed some of how it plays and also made changes to some of the levels. Still, this is a very fun game. If you have not played it before, I really suggest that you give it a shot. The combination of the gameplay and the integrated music is addicting. A geat innovation on the old classic Space Invaders game play. It is one of the best games Taito released last decade. The only issue that I really have is that it is now always online, unlike the original portable game. Why? It also does not have the multiplayer mode. Seems weird to add an online requirement but then remove multiplayer. Note: I got the game on sale, not at full price.
